Last time we talked about Attention, and some tips on how you can seek attention from viewers.
Today, we will talk about 2 more strategies, and they are: Clarity & Action.
Clarity is about the message you intended to put on your banner: to be clear and transparent on what you are going to offer to your potential customers.
So how can you create a powerful message to make your ads clickable?
Here are some tips to follow:
1. Accurate Messaging
Make sure your ad and the landing page represent your business, your brand and what you offer. No one wants to click on an ad, and end up in somewhere unexpected.
2. Simple & Direct Language
Poor wording can result in misleading your ad. Keep your message positive and on target, so that will prevent from confusing your prospects. Use everyday words that are easy to understand.
3. Informative & Persuasive
It’s important that the message on your ad should be informative and persuasive to create a good first impression.
The message should make your Unique Selling Preposition clear (persuasive), and at the same time, it should define the purpose of your ad (informative).
4. Make Your Powerful Headline Powerful 🙂
Use a headline to resonate with your target audience. Including keywords or serving a question as the headline can be compelling.
You can also check the trending topics in your industry, and make one of them as your headline. Make your headline as descriptive as you can, but with fewer words.
5. Avoid Misspellings
Misspellings can create a false impression on your ad, so make sure your ad is spellchecked and grammatically correct. If punctuation is involved, use them appropriately.
Not a big deal, but could make a big difference. 🙂
Now let’s see how we can encourage viewers to take action. Basically, the whole idea of an ad is to be action-oriented, but how?
Here’s a couple of things to bear in mind:
1. Strong Call-to-Action
Call To Action should define what a viewer’s click accomplishes. Be specific, and instead of saying just “Click Here” or “Learn More”, express the value and set expectations as “Download the Free Guide”, “Call Today”, “Get a Quote”, etc.
2. Include Prices, Promotions & Exclusives
Mention an offer no one wants to refuse, and make it exclusive. If you have an unbeatable price for your product/service, state the price in a more exciting way like “starts with just $5”. This will force the viewers to see what the offer is all about.
Providing a good deal not only help you to be successful, but it will also bring back the viewers time and time again. 🙂
3. Give a Reason to Buy Now
Just giving an offer is not enough, as viewers may think of checking it later, and chances are, they may just forget it and never come back. A good way is to make it seem urgent like a one-time offer or time-limited, so they will take action right away.
Don’t make false promises, as it can damage the reputation of your business in the long run. Stay up to your words, and you will prosper. 🙂
